During this course, you will have the opportunity to visit sites in the ocean and in the cenotes.

To start the Open Water course, you must have minimum 12 years old, know how to swim and be in good health conditions. No prior diving experience is required.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course has been created to get specialized and will give you the opportunity to participate in advanced dives. During this course, your instructor will guide you through 5 different specialties such as deep dive, navigation, buoyancy control, photos, videos, nitrox or even fauna and flora identification. All theoretical and practical exercises will be covered so that you will be prepared and autonomous to conduct dives of similar nature.[/caption]

We require a minimum of 25 dives or a test dive to evaluate your level.

The nitrox course is an inevitable step for divers who want to pursue their education because this will enable you to extend your decompression limits at depth. Indeed, a lot of dive shops use nitrox, a gas enriched in oxygen, as their main gas mixture and therefore, it is very useful to attend this course as soon as possible.

Time: 2 days, includes 2 dives.

Sidemount diving is a technique that allows to dive with 2 tanks and therefore to be completely autonomous, redundant and to have a longer bottom time. In this configuration, the tanks are placed on each side of the body, starting below the shoulders until the hips.

This configuration was invented specially for cave diving because it facilitates penetration in restrictions, gives a direct access to valves, a redundancy of gas with easy access and very secure with the possibility of taking off and putting back the tanks during the dives.

While this technique is extremely popular in the technical divers’ community, it is also slowing increasing  for recreational diving. At Zen Diving, we use it essentially for cave diving, and we thus have an optimum configuration for sidemount diving. Come do your course with us and you will have all the tools in hand to become a real Sidemount ninja.

The course PSAI ABC (Advanced Buoyancy Control) or the equivalence of an intro to technical diving. This is a course which enables you to extend your knowledge by improving a lot of your skills. We will go through proper dive planning, evaluate your expertise in the water, the buoyancy and propulsion techniques, gas sharing, valve manipulation, SMB deployment or even saving a buddy at depth. You will learn all these techniques in an adapted environment with a qualified and professional instructor while keeping the fun side of diving. This course will help you acquire essential bases if your desire is to go further in technical diving. This course is done with twinset of tanks connected with a manifold.

At the end of this course you will be ready to keep on going with your dive education with a course like advanced nitrox or even cave diving. You will have all keys in hand to succeed in your development as a diver and to flourish in this new world!

Are you looking towards increasing your bottom time? Maybe you aspire to projects like reef conservation or photography, and it is necessary for you to stay underwater longer. The advanced nitrox and deco procedures course will enable you to use 21% to 100% O2 enriched air until a depth determined by your certification level, most times 40 m. You can also learn how to configure and use a stage tank, providing you with more flexibility and redundancy in your dive planning. This course is a must if you want to start SCR or CCR diving.

Are you looking for your next adventure? If you already have your course PSAI ABC and that you want to keep on learning new techniques to be able to dive in caverns, this course is perfect for you!

The cavern course aims at giving you a very solid base on cavern diving. The definition of a cavern is the entrance of a cave, with light entries and with no more than 50 m of penetration. You will be trained on the dangers of overhead environment diving, the protocols to follow in case of a problem, and the planning of a dive with a definite air source. This class does not necessarily gives you the opportunity to perform longer dives but gives you the base to be able continue with the intro to caves course. You will learn to manipulate a reel and share gas, while following a line.

Are you ready to keep on pushing your limits going from a cavern to a cave? To find a line or a lost diver? Then, let’s keep on learning with the intro to cave course!

During this course you will have the opportunity to follow a continuous line from an open-water environment to an overhead environment. Your maximum penetration will be defined by your air consumption  or decompression. You will learn how to anticipate your dives, the calculations to determine you turn around point, etc. You will learn to find again your buddy or your line if you find yourself in this extremely uncomfortable situation. Which you will not if you remain aware of yourself, your team or your environment.

We give this course in partnership with the PROTEC team, involving some of the most qualified cave divers of the area.

Time:
– 3 days, 3 days if there has been a long break after the cavern course, pre-requisite: cavern course.
– 1 day, if you go from cavern course to intro to cave directly.

If you did you ABC class with us, count 6 days from the start of ABC to intro to cave.

This course will teach you how to plan a much more complex dive thanks to a more advanced navigation. You will be exposed to the worst possible and unthinkable scenarios, all of this to realize that there is a solution to every problem. Your capacity to solve problems, your independence and your technique will be greatly questioned. However, it is certain that by the end of this course, you will have achieved a level of knowledge, reactivity, awareness of your equipment and environment that could have never imagined before.

All exercises are done in the presence of an instructor in constant supervision, and in the cave environment.
